Hey college gals! Lia here. School is back in session for spring and i’m here to help you find ways to mix and match nine closet essentials into a week worth of outfits. While in college, we strive to save as much money as we can as starving students, therefore, I suggest purchasing items that you can easily wear in a variety of ways. With a personal touch of jewels, handbags and other accessories, these ultimately make every outfit look different and stylish. It’s all about making the trends on campus.

Today, I will show you key pieces in my wardrobe that I style differently to achieve fashionable looks each day. It is important to have a few versatile pieces in your wardrobe that will maximize your daily outfit options to attain various looks on a college budget. To help you find those key pieces, I will show you how you can style two pairs of pants and shoes, two shirts, one dress and one jacket, perfect for a week’s worth of outfits to help you pick out clothes during the busy semester ahead. Hopefully this outfit post will help inspire you to shop for pieces that work well with each other and ultimately save you money. So let’s get to styling!

Shirts, a Vest & a Dress

Choose two blouses that will go with anything! I love lace and I think it adds a feminine touch to any outfit. Also, pops of color is a must and I suggest choosing colors that fit your body best, whether they are warm or bright, and wearable for any season. A girly royal blue blouse is perfect for summer and winter.

Everyone should own a vest or two in neutral colors like black or brown. They complement and complete a lot of different looks. Also, every girl must own a dress that they absolutely love. Dresses that can be styled from day to night, like this teal Free People ruffle dress makes it two for one.

Pants & a Leather Jacket

Leather jackets are my favorite and go-to pieces. I love wearing them during any season. You can easily dress it up or down with pants, shorts, a dress, you name it, they look good with any outfit. I like to style them with corduroy and cargo pants for school because they are comfortable outfits on the go. Opt for a sleek black and olive colored pair of bottoms to wear with that colored blouse and lace shirt.

I think it’s important to have a comfortable pair of flats, especially in cheetah print! They are so stylish and they are easy to walk in all over campus. Also, a nice pair of black booties will sure keep you warm on cool days, and they are versatile whether you are wearing jeans, shorts, dresses, etc.
