Happy Monday everyone! Or considering that you may just be getting back from spring break, maybe I should just say “Monday.” I know I definitely could have used a longer spring break, but you make the most out of what you’ve got!¬†

Now that it’s officially spring, I’ve truly been dying to bust out my¬†bare legs. I’m definitely a skirt kind of girl, but I love the freedom of movement that shorts give you. I have a million pairs of shorts that i’ve just gotten over and tons of jeans that could be refashioned into shorts. So I’ve collected a few different ways to update your bottoms without breaking the bank!

The All-Over Lace

There’s nothing quite as feminine and delicate as lace.¬†Try these on for size when you want the femininity of a skirt, but the comfort of shorts.¬†

The Ombre

Who doesn’t have some leftover brightly colored pants from a few seasons ago? Those can easily be turned into some fun ombre shorts!

The Tye-Dye

Looking for something more psychedelic? Try these tye-dye shorts!

The Fringe

Want a different kind of hippy vibe? How about some fringe shorts?

The Leopard Print

Take a walk on the wild side with these leopard print shorts!

The American Flag

Show your patriotic spirit in these bad boys.

The Scallops

Like something more funky and different? These scallop shorts are right up your alley.

The Applique

Add a little bit of print to your shorts without going overboard!

The Tribal

Get a little etnic with these tribal pattern shorts.

The Galaxy

Or, if you’re just out of this world, try these galaxy shorts.

How to Wear: The Essential Tee and White Pant

As a college student, we are always on the go and it’s important to have easy, ready-to-wear pieces that you can throw on in less than 10 minutes. A few essential pieces that I highly recommend for your wardrobe is a striped short or long sleeve tee and white pants.

The geometrical print is easy to mix with other pieces in your wardrobe, creating endless outfits for the week and on the go. What’s so great about this top is that you can wear it all year round in any type of weather. Whether it’s wearing it alone with a pair of shorts and jeans, or layered with a moto jacket, you’ll find that with just one top, it will look like a brand new one every¬†time you wear it.

Also, white can be worn ANY time of year. Especially in the Spring! So why not add a pair of fitted and comfy white pants to your wardrobe? These are great to wear casually, and they are fashionable for the days you aren’t at school and want to dress up. Here are some ways to create girly and casual outfits with the striped tee and the white pant for the spring.

My Take On Spring

Trying to stay true to your fashionista roots in this beautiful sunny weather? Anneliese here to show you the latest in spring trends and my personal style.

Growing up in Seattle, my personal style has definitely evolved from dark, constant rainy day outfits to beautiful bright colors and lightweight fabrics perfect for beautiful Southern California. My career background being a mix of sales for surf-wear brands and luxury designer wear, I try to incorporate the luxurious fabrics and styles of designer clothing with the carefree look of action sportswear apparel. Here are some looks I love for Spring

Top: H&M, Skirt: urban outfitters

This bright blue, high-low skirt gives an effortless look that flows perfectly in a light spring breeze.

Top: H&M, Skirt: Bar III

Aloha! Hawaiian print is all over the luxury designer world and fast fashion retailers..

Dress: Quiksilver

An easy, strapless dress is a staple for the warm weather. Easy to throw on over swimwear or layered under a sweater.

Top: Sanctuary, Shorts: Minkpink

Cutoff shorts are still hot this season paired with a colorful cropped tee.

Top: Forever 21, Denim:7 for all Mankind

One of my favorite looks is a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans with an embellished top. A great way to stay comfortable and cute.

Hope this gives you some ideas on how to stay stylish this spring. Enjoy mixing and matching to create new looks.

How to Wear a Scarf (Other Than Around Your Neck!)

Hello dear followers! Noelle today.

Are you dying for a new spring wardrobe? Me too. However, my college budget is holding me back from buying all the pretty new spring lines.

Whenever I feel like this, I take some time to reevaluate my closet because I’m always looking for new ways to wear my old clothing. That’s why this post today is about how to wear a scarf, other than around your neck!

Scarves are great because they are so versatile. I know they are mostly a winter thing to keep your neck warm, but with all the different colors, patterns, and fabrics, who says you can’t wear them all year round? There are tons and tons of articles / blogs / Pinterest pins on how to wear a scarf but I brought together what I think are the best of the best creative ways to wear a scarf. So bust out your scarves, ladies! It’s time to reinvent your closet!

The Top Knot

Are you in lazy day mode but still want to look cute? Dress up your top knot with a scarf! It’s cute. It’s fun. It hides your greasy hair. Wins all around.

The Turban

More of a boho kind of girl? Try tying your scarf into a turban for that natural, easy-going look.

The Turban-Headband

Like the look of the turban without wanting to overheat your head? The turban headband might be the way to go for you.

The Maiden Braids

Look sweet and feminine with this simple twist on a hair staple.

The Peplum-Style Top

Drape scarf around neck, tie with a belt, and¬†voil√†! You’ve got a sophisticated look.

The Halter Top

This easy, breezy look will make you look like it’s summer all year round.

The Twisted Top

Wear your scarf like this to keep you feeling and looking cool.

The Vest

Add some print or color to your look with a scarf vest!

The Kimono Wrap

Keep your look light or cover up at the beach with this kimono wrap.

The Sack

Forgot your purse? No worries, just throw everything into your scarf!

The Scarf-Wrapped Sandals

Give your feet some scarf love with these scarf-wrapped sandals.

What unconventional way do you like to wear your scarves?

Happy Monday!

The Little White Dress

Hello March!

As we head into spring, it’s time to put away your coats, and take out all of your colorful floral dresses and sandals. Although, if you are on the West Coast, we haven’t taken out our coats to begin with. Winter never started!

As for the most part of the country, spring is just a around the corner, which means it’s time for fresh beginnings and flowers blossoming. The one dress that is perfect for springtime is a little white dress.

I don’t think following the “Don’t wear white after Labor Day” rule should apply to anyone’s wardrobe! White should be incorporated in your wardrobe all year long. Whether it’s pure white for the spring or summer, and creme/off-white for the winter, you can never go wrong with a neutral.

Dresses are one of my favorite closet items because they are versatile all year round. An LBD is not the only must-have in your wardrobe, opt for a white one too! I recommend a casual and refined one that can be transformed from day to night. With just one dress, you will be amazed at how many styles you can come up with for every day of the week. Get inspired and see how I styled one white dress, seven different ways for every day of the week.

Happy Styling!

Opt for a fashionable look by converting your dress into one that looks like a skirt. Simply put a blouse over the dress making it look like a whole new wardrobe item. Add some accessories like a belt to complete the look.

Saturday calls for a relaxed and comfy outfit to catch up on errands, or indulge in some shopping. A long cardigan, novelty boots and a side swept bag are comfortable enough to walk through the crowds on a busy Saturday.

Summer Style with Simple Wardrobe Staple

Hi there fellow fashionistas. Anneliese here.

Over the past few years, I’ve been trying to build up my wardrobe with timeless pieces that I can invest in and wear for years. But don’t get me wrong, I love shopping at fast fashion, trendy stores and trying the latest fashion fads. This summer is all about bold prints, bright colors and of course light, flowing fabrics since we’re by the beach. One of my favorite styling tips is to buy great pieces that you can wear with virtually anything. My choice for this week: a simple nude pump.

My personal favorite is the Yves Saint Laurent Tribtoo Pump. Being a total shoe lover, this is definitely one of my favorite pairs in my closet for comfort and classic style. The nude color goes with nearly everything. Pictured below are the classic pumps feautred on celebrities and show the versatility of a nude shoe.
